All of us need help sometimes. If you or someone you know needs access to food or other assistance, the Brooking Harbor Community Helpers, Inc. is here to help.

How to be a voice for the hungry

  • TAKE ACTION Tell our Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden and Sen. Jeff Merkley not to take food from struggling families. Protect our state food programs.

  • VOLUNTEER Our volunteers are amazing people. We could never provide services in our community without them. If you would like to volunteer, we can always use a helping hand and a generous heart.

  • START A FOOD DRIVE Mobilize and encourage your network to help families in need.

  • STAY INFORMED Sign up for our email updates about what we're doing to help end hunger and how you can do your part.

  • Food assistance is available to anyone who needs it, whether it is long-term or short-term. Some people access food daily, some people once a month, some access food once in their lifetime. Everyone is welcome.

  • Brooking Harbor Community Helpers, Inc. follows USDA Income Guidelines. We don’t require proof of income. You can call us for additional questions about income eligibility.

  • We don’t require anything to apply for a food box.

  • Brooking Harbor Community Helpers, Inc. strives to maintain our client’s dignity by offering a shopping style system whereby each person chooses the products that are needed for individual situations. The system not only empowers the client it allows the food bank to operate on a no-waste concept.

  • Brooking Harbor Community Helpers, Inc. accepts dry, shelf-stable, refrigerated, and frozen food items, prepared foods, food service items, and personal care and cleaning products.
